Yup ! They are. And there are others here in SA who keep them as pets, not worker animals. They have a sweet nature if reared from birth. I love Africa !

hyenas shouldnt be too dangerous when alone, not because they can't be... more because they are peer animal and it's within the peer that they FEEL strong and therefore able to assert dominance. However their mouths are sealed, cause they probably dont know how dangerous their fangs can be to humans when they play.
